Today we were writing about Tonga vs the New Zealand Kiwis the Kiwis was winning the match then the Tonga team made a comeback and it was 30 - 22 and then tonga also made history by beating the new zealand kiwis

Today we had to do times table and how we did it was we had to do 5 x 4 = 20 and then 5 x 8 = 40 and then 40 x 20 = 80 and we keep going to the top.

Last week we had a school athletics on friday we all had to meet in the court, I was on the colour green (Hokulea) but I was wearing red with the tongan flag.

We all had to try our best at athletics day because we all had to try all of the activity and we also. Did but I didn’t get first,second or third at anything but unless I tryed my best.

We also had to 12 activity and our first activity was sack race and then second we did softball throw that was my second favorite out of all of the activity and also high jump. And my Favorite activity at the athletics day was volleyball and dodgeball.

On the last rotation the relay was with each colour and the colour that came first was the yellow team (Hikianalia) then blue (Hine moana). And I think red and green came a tie so then we had a parent and students and also. Teachers it was so exciting the students came first and the parent came second  and then the teachers came last.  

And there you go Try Your best At everything new but if you don’t then you won’t know what to do.

My Time At Point England School In Team 5

Have you ever been a senior student in Pt England? In Jan 31, 2017 is the day I started as a Year 7 in team 5. S.T.S is our school motto and I attend on making that come true.

Today we are doing Explanation writing about being apart of Point England school in team 5 (Year 7 and 8). I really liked being a part of in Team 5 because next year we will be leaders in pt england school.  

In term 1 everyone had to meet inside the hall. and when that was finish and us year 7’s went into the team 5 street and talked about what class we were in, and the class I was in was Room 5 with Mrs Ilaoa. and I (am a) little shy because I only have two friends and it was (is) Ajani and Justus  in my class.

In point England School we have sports that (we can) participate in. (and) we also have swimming in term 2 for every student in the whole school. And we also have morning tea and we play until 11 30 and 11 o’clock is our bell for eating and 11:30 is when we go back to class and then we learn for 1 hour.

In team 5 we have Morning Assembly at 8:30 and in each day each class does the mihi and the karakia.Also we have technology for short is tech what it is when year 8’s go to tamaki and do carving and hard material and also cooking and also graphics. But year 8’s in term  in week 2 they go to camp for 3 days.

So we have come to the end of my writing I will continue to finish it off properly in all areas of my learning to be able to strive to succeed.  

Musical Madness

This Morning we had an Immersion Assembly and the theme for this term was Musical Madness. And team one was playing snap and also playing music in the background and they also act out the song they were playing to in the background the song I could remember was Happy and also everything is awesome in the lego movie and also the ANZAC song.



Team 2 Also sang a song  and the song was (In The Jungle) also Mrs Gaston was singing and jumped in was Miss Peck with the little toy and I think little small balls inside it that made noise so then. Ms Tumahai was playing the Xylophone and it sounded cool so then Mrs Nalder was playing little drums and they played it altogether and they are learning to make there own song with there instruments.




Team 3 made a short video they made a video of song in real life like instead of talking normally to each other the sang to each other with the song they liked and my favorite part in that video was Ms Eadie and Mr Moran sang the work song by fifth harmony and Mr Moran sang the work song from rihanna.



Team 4 was my favorite video and what they did was Mr Goodwin and all of the team 4 teachers was songs inside a car and my favorite part I liked was the last bit with Mr Jacboson  listening to cool song but I don't know what it is called and it was a cool video.

Addition and Subtraction Word Problems

This week Room 5 was learning Addition and Subtraction Word problems The one I liked from the slides was Reversibility and the one i thought that was hard was Equal Additions.

Finding Baby Flounders

Today our whole school went to Riverside Reserve and first we all had to go and meet up in the netball courts and had assembly then  we all started with a. Karakia so we all went to look at the students that was catching baby flounders at the beach  so then we sang a song and it was Whakataka te hau, Ka waiata and also Ko te aroha we sang the song so we can help them find some baby flounders.  So they had to catch 4 or higher and then they put it inside the tank to let them grow to they are big and then when they. Are big we put them back at the Pt England beach and then we finish off with a karakia at the end so then we us team 5 we also lead the way back to school.

T3W8 Multiplication Pyramid

Today in class I learn't that 75 x 180 = 13500 and we had to do our Multiplication and how we do it is 1 x 5 = 5 and then 5 x 3 = 15 and you kept going to the end.

Geometry T3W6

What I learn't was geometry and what we did was 2D and also 3D and we had to do the side view and the top view also the front view.

Geometry Writing

Today Room 5 was talking about Geometry and we had to make a rocket ship with the little cubes but we had to have 12 or 10 and.Had to do 2D also we had to do to buddy up with someone and I was with Justus and what. We had to do was one person is to draw a 2D rocket ship and the other person is to try and make it with the cubes also we had to take a photo from the top the bottom view and the side view.

Speech On Friday

On Friday Team 5 and Team 3 came together and there was 15 students that came and shared there speech to everyone and the person that said her speech was Amelia and her speech was about her nana and her mother and Amelia Nana was the cleaner at a school in. Pakuranga and it is called Riverina and her nana always smile at Amelia when she sees her.Also Amelia told us that her nana had passed way and my favorite speech was Roimata's cause she was talking about legends in her culture the Cook islands.

What I learn't today was Decimals and fractions and what I felt about the word was little bit easy and what one of the problems I did was Write down the decimal and fraction of the shaded part?

What I did this week was probability and the one of the question was what is the probability median outcome? and why? 13,18,13,14,13,13,14,21,13= and the answer is 5/9 because there are 5 thirteens and altogether is 9 and it was pretty hard to do.

Year 7 And 8 Rotation

This week the year 7's and the some year 8's and what we did was we have three groups and my group was the Munchies and the other teams name was Churries and Fobalicious also one of our first activity was art and what we had to do is make a poster.And our second thing that we did was Team building and we did it with Mrs Judd And what we did was is to make the tallest tour with an marshmallow and no one won.

Today Room 5 does maths grid and how to do it is you go time tables  1 - 12 and you have 10 mins to try and to answer them all before 10 mins and I have improved my maths grid then before. 

JELLY BEANS

Today Room 4 Literacy did the tooth and jelly beans challenge and how to play is what we had to do was get into 5 groups and try make anything. And how to win is try get more books on your item. And who was my team was Lanzie, Zack and Troy also Me and then we lost our one wasn't strong and we only had 2 books on it and we came last also we got to eat it when it was the end of the game.

T1W9 - Fractions

What I learn't today was fraction and we did witch one is bigger and what I didn't it hard on the first one because all we had to do was witch one was bigger and I will give you an example and we did witch one is greater than 2/6 , 3/10 and I did 2/6 > 3/10.

Polynesian Poly Fest 2017

Have you been to Poly fest?

Poly fest is Were People from Tamaki college and other schools from the west auckland and the Eastside. And there is Maori,Tonga,Samoa, Niue and the Cook island also they perform  and they dance on the stage or they do the haka.

What activity there was when you put the right rubbish in the right bin and you pick up a option and. You put in the right bin and the other activity I did is stop and look left and right before you cross the road and we got a prize each.

My favorite part at the polyfest was when I went to get a moko and it so cool that we went to the maori stage and it was the best haka I saw. Also our group got to drink otai and it was the best drink I ever drank in my life.

What I learnt at the polyfest was not to tip water inside the pot if it is in fire or it will get bigger. And also burn your whole house and also you have to close the lid to make the fire not to burn your and that is what I learnt at polyfest.

I also had had fun at the polyfest and my favorite stage that I liked to go is tongan stage cause I like it when they do the kailo and my favorite school that does kailo is Wesley college cause they have the best I ever seen.

What I learn't today was Fractions and what we had to do was answer all the question and the question we did was like this 1/2 of 16=8.

T1W5 - Alphabet multiplication

What I learn't is time table and we had to do the word add and u find the letter A=1 and you have to go 1 x
D=4 and I did 1 x 4 x 4 =16 and that is what I learn't.

T1W3 mixed word problems

What I learn't was times table and divided by also Plus,decimals  and we had to solve the problem to the question and some question was like this it was  a) 2.96kg + 3.57kg + 1.04kg = ?

What I learn't today was adding or subtracting 1,10,100 to your number and my number was 954 and what I did was add 1 more to 954 and it was 955.
